Have you ever spilt red wine on a fresh white carpet? Frustrating isn’t it! The thing is it is so hard to get out, so much work and there still may be a faint stain left. To prevent the stain from setting in and becoming permanent deal with accidental spills immediately.
Here are six simple steps to help you remove red wine stains:
- Blot the area with a napkin or dry cloth to remove the moisture.
- Blot the area with damp cloth (lukewarm water) to help remove the wine.
- Blot the area again with clean dry cloth.
- Apply Host sponges dry carpet cleaner and gently brush.
- Leave for 45 minutes to absorb residual soiling and deodorise the carpet.
- Vacuum clean to remove the soil laden particles of Host
If necessary, repeat steps 4-5 or try using Host Spot Remover on any remaining marks.
Caution: Never rub the stained area with a cloth it may weaken the carpet fibre and cause the stain to spread. Blot gently beginning at the outer edge of the stain and working inward is the safest way to remove the problem without causing additional damage.
